Description:

The Air District is currently accepting applications for the position of Deputy Executive Officer of Finance and Administration. There is one (1) vacant full-time position. This at-will position is appointed by the Executive Officer/Air Pollution Control Officer and serves under the terms of a three (3) year contract after which they will be subject to renewal. Under direction of the Executive Officer/Air Pollution Control Officer, the Deputy Executive Officer of Finance and Administration provides high-level technical, policy, and strategic direction in the management of the Air District’s programs and activities. The Deputy Executive Officer of Finance and Administration serves as the District’s Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) providing expert professional assistance to District management and staff who handle administrative, financial, human resources, information technology and related matters.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications Graduate degree or equivalent experience in business or public administration, human resources management, finance, computer science or a closely related field and five years of experience managing administrative programs, preferably with a public agency.
