$76,297.52 – $119,739.78 Annually

Description:

The Riverside County Fire Department is recruiting for multiple Deputy Fire Marshals. The positions will be responsible for managing the activities and programs of the City of Indio Fire Prevention Office or the City of Moreno Valley Fire Prevention Bureau and will serve as the “Fire Marshal” for the respective City. The Deputy Fire Marshals will ensure consistency in the application of codes, methods, and procedures related to fire protection plan reviews and inspections. The positions will also administer the program budget, attend meetings with developers to discuss fire safety regulations, and perform other work as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in fire science, public or business administration, or a closely related field. Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on the basis of 30 semester or 45 quarter units equaling one year of experience.

Experience: Five years of progressively responsible fire prevention and/or suppression experience or equivalent education, training, and experience which demonstrates possession of the listed knowledge and abilities.

Other Requirements
License/Certificate: Possession of a valid California Driver’s License.
