Annual Base Salary: $135,372—$164,546

Description:

San Joaquin County is seeking a dynamic leader with a passion to serve our community to lead the Department of Child Support Services. The next Director will demonstrate executive leadership experience which will result in an effective organization able to fulfill its service goals and administer the programs and activities of the Child Support Services Department. The Director works under the administrative policy direction provided by the County Board of Supervisors, the County Administrator, California Department of Child Support Services, federal requirements, and state regulations and policies.

Qualifications:

The Director of Child Support should possess a commitment to the vision and function of the agency and to Board Strategic Priorities, strong leadership skills, and an ability to build consensus. Successful candidates will demonstrate a high level of integrity and strong sense of ethics, will have the proven ability to effectively lead teams and collaborate with multiple departments and/or agencies to attain common goals, and will have experience developing creative and alternative solutions to administrative and management challenges. A strong candidate will have a solid understanding of federal and state civil and criminal laws and regulations applicable to the delivery of child support services and the uses of information technology to enhance performance and efficiency of operations.
