Description:

The County of Kings is seeking a proven leader to lead and manage the Public Health Department. This executive level at-will position reports directly to the Board of Supervisors. The Director of Public Health Services is responsible for leading, managing and administering all County public health programs, functions, budgets and activities. The Director of Public Health Services is expected to model a strong work ethic and leaderships skills. The County is seeking a leader who is confident, informed, assertive, and ethnically sound who can provide a vision for the Public Health Department, be a strong team builder, and provide exceptional customer service and support to the County of Kings. Effective communications skills are essential for critical networking and facilitation with various agencies and community groups.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience: Possession of a Master’s Degree in public health administration, public administration, business, or health science, AND three years of senior management-level experience in a health or social services agency. OR Possession of a Bachelor’s Degree in the field of health sciences, public administration, business, or a related field, AND five years of increasingly responsible supervisory or management-level experience in a public or private health or social services agency.
