Description:

Under direction of the County Administrative Officer, plans, organizes, integrates and directs the operation of the Division of Integrated Waste Management and County Water Resource Management, including treatment, disposal, diversion, and recycling programs and Integrated Water Management Plans, including groundwater management plans, Master Flood Control Plan and Groundwater Sustainability Plans. Incumbent will make public presentations and respond to public inquires and complaints.

Qualifications:

Any combination equivalent to experience and education or training that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities would be qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge, skills and abilities would be: A bachelor’s degree in business administration, public administration, environmental policy, environmental science or related field; OR Possession of a valid certificate of registration as a civil engineer issued by the California State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers AND Three (3) years of full-time experience in the planning, organizing, and direction of solid waste operation or activity; OR Five (5) years of full-time experience in performing regulatory analysis for the purpose of planning, compliance, or instruction of others. Two (2) of these years must have been in a supervisory role.
