Under general supervision (Personnel Assistant – Non Exempt) or general direction (Personnel Analyst I) of the Probation Agency Human Resources Manager, provides professional support to the disability and return-to-work functions for the Probation Agency. Performs related work as required; provides information, reports as well as responds to requests for assistance, coordination and intervention within the areas of leave of absence, workers’ compensation, and return-to-work integration, monitors for compliance with applicable rules and regulations, including California Labor Code, Workers’ Compensation, Government Code, Safety and OSHA regulations.

Qualifications:

Personnel Assistant – NE: A typical way to meet the minimum qualifications would be any combination of education, training, and experience equivalent to an Associate’s degree in a related field or a Human Resources Certificate from an accredited university AND One (1) year of experience with Leave of Absence, Workers’ Compensation, Disability Management or Interactive Processes which has led to the acquisition of the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Personnel Analyst I: An equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree in a highly related field from an accredited university AND One (1) year of experience with Leave of Absence, Workers’ Compensation, Disability Management or Interactive Processes which has led to the acquisition of the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Personnel Assistant -NE/Personnel Analyst I: Additional experience may substitute for the education on a year-for year basis.
