Placer County is currently accepting applications for Economic Development Manager. As the Economic Development Manager, you will plan, organize, direct, and review the activities and operations of the Economic Development Division; formulate policies and strategies related to the County’s economic development program; coordinate assigned activities with other departments and outside agencies; and to provide highly responsible and complex administrative support to the County Executive Officer.
Experience: Five years of increasingly responsible experience in economic development, land-use planning, or redevelopment, including four years of administrative and management responsibility. Training: Equivalent to a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in business or public administration, urban or regional planning, finance, economics, or a related filed. A master’s degree is preferred. NOTE: Relevant, equivalent experience (performing the same or similar job requiring similar knowledge, skills, and abilities) may be substituted for the required education as determined by the Human Resources Department. Applicants receiving their degree outside the United States must submit proof of accreditation by a recognized evaluation agency.
