Description:

The San Joaquin County Public Works Department is seeking a highly experienced, self-motivated leader to join a progressive public service employer who provides great opportunities for diverse assignments and professional growth. The ideal candidate will have professional experience with a public sector employer specifically in the area of solid waste regulatory compliance, landfill construction and groundwater and landfill gas compliance issues.

Qualifications:

Requires two years as a Registered Civil Engineer performing public works or equivalent private sector solid waste activities relating to solid waste regulatory compliance, landfill construction, groundwater and landfill gas compliance issues** (Special recruitment requirements were approved by the HR Director 7/18/19); and

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or closely related field from a college/university accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology; and

Possession of a valid certificate of registration as a Civil Engineer as issued by the California Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors; and possession of a valid California driver’s license.
