Reporting directly to the Board of Supervisors and County Administrative Officer, this Administrator position is an at-will department head responsible for the overall operation of the Agency. The Administrator carries out the objectives of the Board of Supervisors by providing the efficient delivery of public service. The Agency is made up of five (5) divisions; Environmental Health, On-Site Wastewater, Agriculture, Air Pollution, and Animal Services. Each division is a separate budget unit with a blend of funding from the County General Fund, fees, contracts and grants with a total budget of $3.7M for the Agency.
Our new Agency Administrator will be articulate, collaborative
and confident with a proven track record in environmental
management. A knowledge of contemporary Agriculture and Animal
Services functions and ability to provide proactive support to
both internal and external customers is expected.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced Registered Environmental Health Specialist with five years of professional level supervisory, administrative, executive of consulting experience. A strong knowledge of information gathering methods and analysis; budget preparation; and report writing techniques is expected.
