Salary:

Dependent on experience. Last salary was $160,000 annually as independent contractor 

Description:

Executive Officer for a 7-member commission that meets monthly to implement the Cortese Knox Hertzberg Act, Gov. Code 56000 et seq. Presents recommendations on governmental organizational changes, such as annexations, incorporations, district formations, municipal service reviews, and city incorporations. Works closely with LAFCO legal counsel and Clerk of the Commission, who is also Clerk to the Board of Supervisors

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration, Planning, Geography, Public Policy, Political Science, Business Administration, or a related field of study. Prefer experience working with local public agencies, such as a LAFCO, county, city, or special district. Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with a range of public officials, community leaders, and members of the public.
