Salary:

$128,736 – $204,936 (pending approval by the City Council)

Description:

The Human Resources Director will report to the Deputy City Manager, Internal Services and will be responsible for providing leadership and establishing strategic and operational direction in all areas of human resources including: employee and labor relations, recruitment and selection, worker’s compensation, benefits administration, classification and compensation, employee training, liability claims, safety, insurance, and risk management.

Qualifications:

Education:
A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in business, public or human resource administration or a related field is required.

Experience:
Eight (8) years of increasingly responsible experience in Human Resources administration and employee and labor relations are required; including four (4) years of supervision and management of human resources professional staff. Experience in a public sector agency is highly desirable.

License, Credential, or Certificate:
Must possess a valid California Driver’s License.
