Description:

We are seeking an HR professional with public sector experience to manage the Employee Records and Transactions Processing Unit.

Responsibilities:
-Processing and/or reviewing personnel transactions.
-Implementing negotiated items, Board-approved actions and personnel transactions that require review/processing.
-Providing guidance in processing employee/position transactions according to contracts, County Policies and Procedures and past practice.
-Serving as a resource to department heads, executives and elected officials on employment records issues.
-Collaborating with HR Managers to resolve questions on Records Transactions, leave laws, etc.
-Acting as subject matter expert in employment records/transaction processing on projects that have countywide impact.

Qualifications:

Four (4) years of significant professional public sector human resources experience, at least two of which included responsibility for reviewing, interpreting and applying MOUs, Policies and Procedures to resolve complex Human Resources issues or responsibility for overseeing an Employee Records Team.

Experience with responsibility for overseeing, processing and reviewing employee and position transactions.
Experience working with CAPS+ or similar HR Information Systems (HRIS), OnBase (electronic personnel file management system) or Data Warehouse
Experience supervising or leading a team
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Human Resources, Public Administration, Business Administration, or other related field
