Salary:

$147,354-$179,889 Annually

Description:

Under administrative direction of the County Administrator, plans, organizes, manages, and provides
administrative and fiscal direction and oversight for all functions and activities of the County Human
Services Agency, including Social Services, Public Health, the Public Administrator and Public Guardian
Offices, Behavioral Health, and the Ambulance System; coordinates assigned activities with other County
departments, officials, outside agencies, and the public; fosters cooperative working relationships among
County departments and with intergovernmental and regulatory agencies and various public and private
groups. The incumbent serves at the pleasure of the Board of Supervisors.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

Equivalent to graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in
business or public administration, health, welfare, social science or a related field and five (5) years of
increasingly responsible experience in health, welfare, public administration or a related field at a
management or administrative level. Possession of a Master’s Degree is highly desirable.

Licenses and Certifications:

Possession of a valid California class C driver’s license with satisfactory driving record.
