$9,521-$11,903/Month

Description:

Responsible for a number of public assistance program areas, including Medi-Cal, CalFresh, CalWORKs, General Assistance and CAPI delivered in regional offices throughout the County; plans, directs, coordinates, implements and evaluates comprehensive social or community service programs for a multi-disciplinary human services program area that has county-wide impact; evaluates goals, objectives, policies, procedures and outcomes related to programs; provides leadership and coordination to internal staff, community groups, public and private agencies, advisory boards and volunteers in planning and implementing programs; provides highly complex staff support to senior-level executives; and exercises direct and indirect supervision.

Qualifications:

A typical way to qualify is three years of increasingly responsible experience in a social or community services organization, including significant responsibility for funding, budget development, program utilization, and/or evaluation or coordination of community resources. The ideal candidate will possess:
• Minimum of 2 years’ supervisory experience in the field of providing public assistance programs in the State of California
• Current expertise in State/County/Federal rules and regulations, including best practices related to public assistance programs such as Medi-Cal, CalFresh, CalWORKS and General Assistance
• Bachelor’s degree in a social service, policy, public administration or related
