Description:

The IT Project Manager has primary responsibility for defining, planning, tracking and managing IT projects for the Department of Social Services. He/she is responsible for identifying key resources and providing the direction required for meeting the project objectives. He/she is also responsible for ensuring that the appropriate stakeholders are involved throughout the life of the project as well as ensuring that management and stakeholders are appropriately update on each project’s status. The IT Project Manager will collaborate with staff members, other county departments, vendors, customers, and other managers to determine project goals/outcomes, schedules and budgets.

Qualifications:

1.Three (3) years of project management experience, including at least one (1) year of IT project management experience; AND a.Three (3) years of experience as an IT professional; OR

2. A combination of education, training and experience that is equivalent to all of qualifications listed above that would provide the following:

•Knowledge and experience in project management techniques
•Proven experience in people management
•Proven experience successfully completing IT projects
•Proven experience as an IT professional
