Description:

The County of Sacramento is seeking an Inspector General contractor to serve as an independent monitor to provide oversight of investigations of citizen complaints against the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department to ensure the Department is objective, fair, and complete. The Inspector General contractor/firm will enter into a services contract with the County of Sacramento and will not be hired nor working as a County employee. The County will supply office space, but the contractor/firm will be responsible for many of the incidental costs of operation. The contract amount is planned for $80,000 to $120,000 annually, DOQ.

Qualifications:

Highly qualified individual contractor candidates will possess a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university; however, a Master’s degree or Juris Doctorate is highly desirable. Qualified individuals who are interested in working as the County’s Inspector General contractor or specialized law enforcement investigative firms/agencies who are interested in contracting with the County to execute and oversee the duties assigned to the Inspector General contractor are encouraged to apply.
