Description:

Under general supervision or direction, performs management analysis work to assist the County Administrative Office in resolving budget, financial, policy, administrative, and management issues affecting all County departments requiring comprehensive knowledge of County political environment, policies, and procedures; develops recommendations and write reports; and performs related duties as assigned. Coordinates the planning and implementation of the annual County budget process; plans and monitors the budget cycle, sets and enforces timelines, and manages the formal approval process. Leads and participates in internal and interagency technical work groups as a technical expert to gather information for policy and decision-making and to advance and represent the priorities and interests of the County. Conducts presentations to employees, Chief Administrative Officer, department heads, Board of Supervisors, civic groups, and the general public.

Qualifications:

Any combination of training and experience that would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the required qualifications would be: Equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in business administration, public administration, economics, or a closely related field; and Management Analyst I: Two (2) years of professional experience performing administrative, economic, operational, management, or fiscal/financial analysis. Management Analyst II: Three (3) years of professional experience performing administrative, economic, operational, management, or fiscal/financial analysis or experience at a level equivalent to County’s class of Management Analyst I. Management Analyst III: Four (4) years of professional experience performing administrative, economic, operational, management, or fiscal/financial analysis.
