$31.16 – $38.92/hour; $5,401.07 – $6,746.13/month; $64,812.80 - $80,953.60/year

Description:

This position provides full second-line, direct supervision for the work unit and is responsible for daily oversight of the Parks and Grounds staff ensuring the day’s work is completed in a timely and effective manner. This supervisory position also assumes substantive and significant programmatic responsibility of the Parks and Grounds team in carrying out the mission and goals of the Department of Public Works, as well as those of the Placer County Parks Commission.

Qualifications:

Experience: Five years of increasingly responsible experience in groundskeeping or park maintenance, including two years of supervisory responsibility.

Training: Equivalent to an Associate’s degree from an accredited college with major course work in arboriculture, horticulture, forestry, park management or a related field.

License or Certificate:

•Possession of a Qualified Applicator Certificate from California Department of Food and Agriculture may be required.

•May need to possess a valid driver’s license as required by the position. Proof of adequate vehicle insurance and medical clearance may also be required.
