Description:

The San Joaquin County Assessor-Recorder-County Clerk’s Office is seeking a highly motivated, experienced candidate to fill this newly allocated position in the Assessor’s Office. The successful candidate will be creating and providing innovative ideas and support for Geographic Information Systems (GIS) applications with the Assessor’s Office mapping team. The incumbent will work collaboratively to plan, design, develop and implement strategies that will enhance the department in property assessments and valuations using GIS applications, as well as support the ongoing GIS initiatives of the office to increase operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

Education: Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in geography, geographic information systems, computer science, information systems, economics, engineering, architecture, environmental science, mathematics, business administration, or a related field. Experience: Five years of responsible professional analytical computer and related systems work in a geographic information systems environment.
