$136,198 – $170,269 / Year

Description:

Under the direction of the County Chief Financial Officer and as part of a team of three Principal Management Analysts, one Lead Management Analyst and eight Management Analysts, the Principal Management Analyst assists in the development and production of the County’s $3.9 billion budget; assists with the coordination of county-wide budget monitoring and preparation of regular financial performance reports; performs fiscal and policy analysis on issues impacting County departments; leads efforts in policy development, policy compliance reviews, program reviews, countywide studies, and special projects; and makes well-informed written and oral recommendations to the County decision makers.

Qualifications:

This work requires the use of independent judgment and the application of extensive knowledge of government finances, accounting, and government programs and organizations in meeting a wide variety of complex problems involving continual public, intergovernmental, and interdepartmental relations. A typical way to qualify is:

• Experience: Two years of professional experience performing a wide variety of administrative support duties.
• Education: A master’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in public administration, public policy, business administration, finance, or a closely related discipline is preferred.
