Description:

The Fresno County Administrative Office is offering an exciting career opportunity for experienced public relations/communications professionals acting as the County’s Public Information Officer. Incumbent duties include planning, conducting and coordinating County efforts to create and maintain a favorable, balanced and accurate public image for the County of Fresno.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree from a college or university that is acceptable within the United States’ accredited college or university system.

Four (4) years of full-time, paid, increasingly responsible experience involving public relations, public information and/or marketing, preferably in a public agency sector setting.

Master’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Media, English or a closely related field awarded by a college or university that is acceptable within the United States’ accredited college or university system may be substituted for one (1) year of the required experience.

Possession of a valid Class “C” driver’s license, or equivalent, may be required.
