Description:

Kings County is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to develop and coordinate Behavioral Health’s Mental Health Managed Care Division and related activities. The Quality Assurance Manager is a single-position classification reporting to the Behavioral Health Director or Deputy Director Behavioral Health, who is responsible for developing and coordinating quality assurance and improvement programs and activities as it pertains to Managed Care, Medi-Cal billing, hospitalizations, HIPAA compliance, clinical services, and Electronic Health Records. Responsibilities include developing, implementing and maintaining procedural systems that monitor quality of client care using federal, state and local regulations governing quality assurance to ensure departmental compliance.

Qualifications:

Equivalent to graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Sciences, Organizational Leadership and Development, or Public Administration or a related field. A Master’s Degree in Behavioral Sciences or a related field is desirable.

One year of paid professional work experience in a behavioral health setting performing utilization review, quality assurance, or contract or managed care administration.

Desirable: Professional certification as a Certified Healthcare Compliance Professional (CHCP) from the American Institute of Healthcare Management, Inc. (AIHM) is highly desirable.

Possess valid California driver’s license.

Background investigation and fingerprint check.

Requires travel in-county and out-of-county.
