The Real Property Agent II/III will perform a full range of real property services which are rendered in connection with the acquisition, disposition or lease of properties for highways, parks, libraries, airports, flood control projects, rights of ingress and egress, easement rights, building sites, office space or other County purposes, including appraisal, negotiations, property management and relocation assistance. The Real Property Agent II is the journey-level class in the real property agent series. Working under general supervision by the Real Property Assets Division Manager, the employee hired at the “II” level will be expected to successfully complete complex assignments.

Qualifications:

The Real Property Agent III is the advanced, journey level-class within the real property agent series: responsible for coordinating major projects, appraising/negotiating for larger, more complex purchases, and negotiating more complex leases of property for County use.

At the “II” level, one year of experience appraising/negotiating for the acquisition of real property for public use is qualifying. At the “III” level, at least three years’ experience appraising and/or valuing and negotiating for the acquisition and/or lease of real property is qualifying. Right-of-Way Certification or the desire and ability to obtain certification preferred. Experience with property management preferred.
