$64,604.80 – $78,520.00 Annually

Description:

Under general direction of the Executive Director. The Retirement Analyst performs complex technical and analytical work in support of Mendocino County Employee’s Retirement Association (MCERA) and conducts or assists with the most complex retirement benefits issues in accordance with Federal and State regulations particularly the County Employees’ Retirement Law of 1937 (CERL or 1937 Act), and the policies and regulations of the Mendocino County Retirement Board.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from an accredited college or university, preferably with courses in Public Administration, Business Administration, Human Resources, Accounting or related field; and one (1) year of progressively responsible experience performing complex administrative, personnel, fiscal, financial, or other technical / analytical work, including the preparation of recommendations and reports in a 1937 Act or similar public retirement system. Substitution: A year-for-year equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the knowledge skills and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job. Examples: An Associate’s degree in a field as stated above AND three (3) years of progressively responsible related experience as stated above; OR, a total of five (5) years of progressively responsible education and experience in related field and/or performing duties as stated above.
