Description:

Under direction of the Director of Finance Services, the Senior Advisor provides comprehensive financial management services to solve a broad range of complex accounting and finance problem for local government partner agencies as a member of the Finance Services team. Responsibilities include managing fiscal operations of a wide variety and types of public agencies; leading teams of RGS accounting professionals, performing or supervising complex professional, supervisorial, administrative, and technical accounting and finance functions necessary to maintain the accounting and financial records and systems for local governments; advising public agency executives and elected officials; planning, organizing, and directing all financial operations. Full or part-time with flexible hours.

Qualifications:

Any combination equivalent to experience and education that could likely provide the required knowledge and abilities would be qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be: -A bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university, preferably with a major in accounting, business, or public administration, emphasis in accounting or finance is desirable. -Five years of progressively responsible accounting or finance management experience at a Director or Department Head level in a public agency -Willing to consider experience that may not be within a public agency if is applies to the qualifications of this position
