Deputy $89,814- $109,179 / Sr. Deputy $110,261- $134,014

Description:

The County Administrator’s Office is recruiting one position, either at the Senior Deputy or Deputy County Administrator level, depending on qualifications. This key position has broad, independent responsibility for directing, coordinating, and advising on administrative, financial, and policy activities. This position has responsibility for budget preparation, fiscal reporting, monitoring of annual budgets, and financial analysis. Successful candidates will have an understanding of structurally balanced budget requirements, including Board of Supervisors priorities, as part of the budget process. The Deputy will interface with the County Administrator, Department Heads, outside agencies and others regarding financial, budgetary, administrative, legislative, and policy matters.

Qualifications:

Senior Deputy: Five years of responsible managerial, fiscal, personnel, or governmental administrative and/or analytical work.

Deputy: Four years of responsible managerial, fiscal, personnel, or governmental administrative and/or analytical work.

Both: Education: Four year college degree in public or business administration, economics, social or behavioral science, or a closely-related field.

Either: A Master’s in public or business administration, economics, or a closely-related may be substituted for one year of experience.
