$74,778 – $91,289 annually

Description:

This exciting opportunity is for the advanced journey-level analyst who wishes to deliver consultation, facilitation, and resolution strategies for workplace issues. In the role, you will assist and support administrative investigations, employee discipline, collective bargaining agreement negotiations and administration, grievances and other complaint processes, legal compliance, policy development and implementation, and non-industrial leaves of absence and disability management. It is expected that you have a solid understanding of employee and labor relations, be self-directed, solution driven, team oriented, and positive. You must be able to partner with departments and other key stakeholders to help support their needs. You will be a responsive professional with exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal. Your ability to be calm and collected in confidential, high-pressure situations is critical to being successful in this position. As an important part of our team, you will operate with a high level of collaboration and engagement.

Qualifications:

Equivalent to graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in human resources management, business or public administration, or a related field, and three (3) years of progressively responsible human resources generalist experience, preferably in the public sector. Additional professional personnel / human resources experience or completion of an approved formal training program such as those developed by International Public Management Association for Human Resources or California Public Employers Labor Relations Association which would lead to certification as a human resources professional can substitute for up to two years of college.
