Salary:

$94,685.06 – $113,209.87 Annually

Description:

Under general direction, provides advanced skilled nursing; patient and staff education in an ambulatory care setting; committee participation; quality assurance monitoring; and provides statistical data information; may provide clinical and functional supervision in the absence of the Clinical Manager. Duties may include, but are not limited to the following: · Coordinates and facilitates delivery of care to patient and family in Hematology and Oncology; · Assesses and identifies nursing care needs of patients; and plans, implements, and evaluates interventions appropriate to those needs; · Develops and implements patient and family education programs; · Assists in establishing patient care standards and tracks the performance of nursing staff in the assigned area; · Participates in the development of clinic policies, procedures, and protocols for patient care; · Participates in nursing committee activities; · Maintains current knowledge in Hematology/Oncology and ability to apply same in patient care; and · Performs other related duties as required.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION, TRAINING, and EXPERIENCE Requires three (3) years of full-time professional registered nursing experience, including two (2) years of full-time experience in an Oncology/Infusion Center. NECESSARY REQUIREMENTS: · Must possess and maintain a current, valid license as a Registered Nurse issued by the State of California. · Must have a current, valid Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification by first day of employment. · Must be willing and able to obtain a Chemotherapy Biotherapy Certification and an Oncology Nurse Certification within one (1) year of hire, if not possessed already. · Depending upon area of assignment, additional specialty experience and/or certification(s) may be required. DESIRED: · Chemotherapy Biotherapy Certification · Oncology Nurse Certification Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Comprehensive knowledge of: the principles, practices, and techniques used in Oncology and Infusion nursing care at specialty. Working knowledge of: patient and staff educational methods; quality assurance processes; nursing committee activities; and clinic administrative functions.
