Description:

The position allocable to this exempt classification will work with and at the direction and supervision of the General Counsel or Deputy General Counsel assisting departments with various transactional and municipal law matters, including, but not limited to, public contracting and procurement, real estate, affordable housing development, the Brown Act, Public Records Act, ethics, municipal finance, data privacy, and policy preparation and updates. The position will provide legal support and counsel to the Housing Authority and its instrumentalities, supporting programs such as Public Housing, Section 8, Asset Management, and other affordable housing programs.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements: Member in good standing of the California State bar. A minimum of five (5) years of experience, preferably working in the areas of municipal or public entity law, real estate law, public finance and public contracting. Must be licensed to practice law in California. Ideal candidate must possess: Strong legal research and writing skills. Ability to multi-task and work independently with limited supervision. Ability to manage a large volume of work in a fast-paced environment. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
