Description:

Placer County’s Community Development Resource Agency currently has one vacancy for Senior Surveyor in the Auburn office. The Senior Surveyor position provides supervision, leadership, and direction to professional, technical, and clerical staff and acts as a resource to the teams providing surveying assistance and services. This position also performs the duties of the County Surveyor when assigned, including but not limited to singing maps or other documents and representing the department to the public, and is responsible for assisting in developing and managing department goals and objectives, evaluating operations and staff, and implementing budgets. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of the surveying process and will possess previous experience in a supervisory role.

Qualifications:

Experience: Five years of increasingly responsible experience in surveying, including two years of supervisory responsibility. Training: Equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in engineering technology or a related field. License: Possession of registration as a Licensed Land Surveyor in the State of California or registration as a Civil Engineer with a number of 33965 or less issued prior to January 1, 1982 also qualifies.
