Description:

The Public Works, Facilities & Parks Department is in immediate need for a Traffic Maintenance Superintendent. This classification is a single management level class in the Traffic Maintenance Worker career series responsible for planning work and directing all personnel and equipment assigned to the traffic maintenance crew. Under direction, the incumbent is responsible for planning, organizing and supervising a small crew in all activities related to the fabrication, preparation, installation and maintenance of traffic control devices for Monterey County roads (with the exception of electronic devices), and performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Experience: Three (3) years of increasingly responsible traffic maintenance work, two of which include Public Works lead worker responsibilities or equivalent and formal training in supervisory management.
