November 25, 2024
The California State Association of Counties (CSAC), the voice of all 58 counties in California, elected its officers to lead the statewide association for 2025 at its 130th Annual Meeting in Los Angeles County, CA.
The new officers are:
- CSAC President – Inyo County Supervisor Jeff Griffiths
- CSAC First Vice President – Santa Clara County Supervisor Susan Ellenberg
- CSAC Second Vice President – Monterey County Supervisor Luis Alejo
- CSAC Immediate Past President – San Luis Obispo County Supervisor Bruce Gibson
“As CSAC President, I am honored to lead an organization that unites California’s 58 counties, each bringing its unique challenges, strengths, and perspectives,” said CSAC President and Inyo County Supervisor Jeff Griffiths. “Despite our differences, we are bound by a shared mission to improve lives and create thriving communities. Together, we demonstrate that collaboration and unity are the strongest forces for progress.”
“I congratulate our newly elected officers who will lead CSAC’s efforts on behalf of California’s 58 counties in 2025,” said CSAC Chief Executive Officer Graham Knaus. “With their deep experience and diverse perspectives, these leaders are uniquely equipped to represent urban, suburban, and rural counties as we tackle critical challenges like homelessness, climate resilience, and other pressing issues affecting our communities.”
President Griffiths most recently served as the CSAC’s First and Second Vice President. He has served on the Inyo County Board of Supervisors since 2012. He was elected unanimously by the CSAC Rural Caucus and then elected President by his fellow county supervisors from across the state on November 21.
