Fulfill Your State Mandated Ethics Training Requirements at the CSAC Annual Meeting
State law required that county officials receive ethics and harassment prevention training every two years. At this year’s virtual Annual Meeting, CSAC affiliate the Institute for Local Government (ILG) will facilitate both trainings to help county leaders ensure they are in compliance these requirements. Supervisors-elect can satisfy their requirements by taking these courses.
Please join CSAC and ILG for both sessions to make sure your certifications are current. To register for these required courses, please start by registering for the CSAC Annual Meeting. These online sessions are part of your reqistration.
Public Service Ethics Laws and Principles: AB 1234 Training
Friday, November 13, 9:30 – 11:30 am.
State and federal laws create a complex set of requirements that guide elected officials and agency staff in their service to their communities. This session will provide an overview of transparency laws, personal financial interest and fair processes and legal limitations on perks. Join a panel of experts to help you navigate these complex laws, hear real world examples and get answers to your questions on these topics.
Harassment Prevention Training for Supervisors and Officials: AB 1661 Training
Friday, November 13, 2:00 – 4:00 pm
This informational and interactive workplace harassment prevention training will focus on current and emerging issues resulting from the #MeToo movement, and teach officials and supervisors how to identify, prevent, and properly respond to workplace harassment, discrimination, retaliation, and abusive conduct in order to avoid personal and agency liability in compliance with AB 1825/2053/1661 and SB 396
