Profiles in Leadership
Mono County Supervisor Jennifer Kreitz
August 5, 2021
CSAC is only as strong as its membership. This week’s Profiles in Leadership spotlights Mono County Supervisor Jennifer Kreitz, currently serving the 1st Supervisorial District. Supervisor Kreitz is currently the Vice Chair for the CSAC Housing, Land Use and Transportation Policy Committee and is a strong advocate for addressing the housing and transportation needs of rural communities, as seen in the recent passage of a resolution on low-income housing tax credits at the CEWD Policy Committee meeting at the 2021 NACo Conference, that Supervisor Kreitz presented on that was co-sponsored by CSAC and CWDA. Supervisor Kreitz also serves as a member of the NACo Community, Economic and Workforce Development Steering Committee and is sponsoring a resolution that supports making changes to private activity bond requirements to increase the use of federal four percent low-income housing tax credits.
Supervisor Kreitz has been a Mono County resident for over 20 years and believes that strong communities must have built-in resiliency through fiscal conservation and compassionate governance. Lastly, she is a strong supporter of the infill infrastructure grant program, which funds infrastructure improvements needed for housing development, and has advocated for a rural set-aside for the program to make it possible for rural and unincorporated communities to access it. Thank you, Supervisor Kreitz, for your ongoing leadership on behalf of California Counties.
