BSCC Developing Justice Assistance Grants

If you’re interested in Justice Assistance Grants, (JAG) here’s a meeting you might want to attend. A committee of the Board of State and Community Corrections will review the JAG program and begin the work of developing proposals and rating factors. The Board of State and Community Corrections (BSCC) Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Executive Steering Committee meets January 26-27 in Sacramento at the BSCC headquarters.

The JAG Program is a federal justice funding source to state and local jurisdictions. The JAG Program provides states, tribes, and local governments with funding to support a range of program areas including law enforcement, prosecution, indigent defense, courts, crime prevention and education, corrections and community corrections, drug treatment and enforcement, planning, evaluation, technology improvement, and crime victim and witness initiatives.
