CDPH Launches New Campaign to Take on Alzheimer’s

March 14, 2024

This week, the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) launched a new campaign, Take on Alzheimer’s, to raise awareness about Alzheimer’s and related dementias and to increase discussions between family, friends, and those closest to us, as well as to improve communications with health care providers and others. According to CDPH information, California is home to more adults aged 65 and older than any other state and 11% of the nation’s Alzheimer’s cases reside in California. That number is projected to double between 2019 and 2040.

Information about the campaign is available at TakeOnAlz.com. For additional media and outreach resources, the Take On Alzheimer’s communications toolkit is available here.
