Earlier this month, the California Health and Human Services
Agency (CalHHS)
released the Children and Youth Behavioral Health Initiative
(CYBHI) 2023 Annual Report: “Implementing the Vision.”
The report provides highlights of the progress made throughout
2023 on implementing CYBHI, which is a five-year initiative that
was launched in 2021 as the core component of
Governor Newsom’s Master Plan for Kids’ Mental Health. The
report provides progress reports in four strategies: workforce
training and capacity, behavioral health ecosystem
infrastructure, coverage, and public awareness.
