The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announced the
Solar
for All Competition, a $7 billion competitive grant program
which aims to increase the number of low-income and disadvantaged
communities equipped for solar investment. Funds can be used to
expand existing low-income solar programs or to design and
implement new Solar for All programs. Counties are directly
eligible to apply for funds under the program and the Notice of
Funding Opportunity (NOFO) is available to view here.
To apply for funds under the program, counties must
submit a Notice of Intent (NOI) by August 14, 2023. You
can view information that must be included in the NOFO on page
18. The full application is due September 26, 2023.
