Digital Equity Capacity Grant Program Notice of Funding Opportunity

April 4, 2024

Last week, the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) launched the Digital Equity Capacity Grant Program (DE Capacity Program), which makes funding available for all U.S. states, territories, and the District of Columbia to implement their State Digital Equity plans. This grant program is available under the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and offers $1.44 billion in funding.

The program is integral to the Biden Administration’s Internet for All initiative. It is the second of three Digital Equity Act grant programs to empower individuals and communities with the tools, skills, and opportunities to participate and benefit from meaningful access to high-speed internet service.

Through this Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO), NTIA will make over $800 million in funding available to states, territories, and native entities. The tentative allocation of DE Capacity Program funds available to California is $70,226,453.82.

For more information about the program, please refer to the press release. The Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) is available here.
