Upcoming CARE Act Trainings and Technical Assistance

Affinity Group for Rural County Behavioral Health – March 27

Health Management Associates (HMA) will host a technical assistance (TA) call for county behavioral health participants on Wednesday, March 27 from 11:30 am – 12:30 pm. This first affinity group meeting will discuss areas of interest and priorities unique to rural counties, including discussions of planning, community engagement and education, and data collection and reporting. HMA is considering additional affinity groups. Those interested in meeting with other county representatives about additional topics are encouraged to contact HMA at info@care-act.org.

Lessons Learned and Best Practices for Housing the CARE Population Training and Open Forum – April 23 and 24

The Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) and HMA will host a training on “Lessons Learned and Best Practices for Housing the CARE Population” on Tuesday, April 23 at 9:00 am. The training will highlight lessons learned from Cohort I and focus on models and approaches that can be replicated or adapted in other counties to better serve and house the CARE population.

An open-forum and Q&A discussion will take place on Wednesday, April 24 at 9:00 am, where attendees will be able to discuss topics needing clarification and share ideas. Weekly Data Collection and Reporting TA for Cohort I Counties

The HMA data team is hosting weekly data collection and reporting office hours through March to support Cohort I counties with their data submission process. For additional information, please contact HMA at infor@care-act.org.
