$26.73 – $31.94 Hourly    $2,138.40 – $2,555.20 Biweekly    $4,633.20 – $5,536.27 Monthly    $55,598.40 – $66,435.20 Annually

Description:

The list established by this recruitment will be used to fill current and future positions.
– Incumbents in this classification are entitled to receive $300 per month confidential premium pay.

This position performs technical and para-professional accounting work in the Auditor-Controller’s Office and assumes a significant amount of responsibility for reviewing, processing, and recording financial transactions in an accounting system.  This position requires considerable interpretative ability and judgment as well as the ability to perform high-level clerical tasks in an accounting system.

Qualifications:

To qualify for these classifications, an individual must possess any combination of experience and education that would likely produce the required knowledge and abilities. A desirable combination is:

Experience:
Three years of extensive, directly related and progressive experience in financial recordkeeping and/or payroll accounting work preferably including experience in a responsible accounting position with a government agency.

Education:
Equivalent to completion of two years of college with course work in accounting, financial recordkeeping, or a closely related field. (Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the college education on a year-for-year basis.)

License or Certificate:
A position assigned to this class may require possession of a valid California Driver’s License.
