Administrative Analyst II / III
The County of San Luis Obispo’s Administrative Office is seeking qualified, self-motivated candidates to join their team! This recruitment is to fill one permanent vacancy, as well as one full-time, limited term vacancy.
In this role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of duties related to supporting County departments in budget and funding, policy planning and system implementation, and resource allocation. As an Administrative Analyst, you’ll participate in development and review of policies, procedures, and legislation affecting County activities, as well as coordinate activities with County departments to assure organizational effectiveness. In this role you will collaborate with departments and agencies to assure cross-functional projects such as capital projects and preparation of fee schedule align with County-wide goals and objectives, while also monitoring, evaluating, and providing recommendations regarding program enhancement and modification.
The most ideal candidate will have a minimum of four years of experience in a local government environment and possess a Bachelor’s degree in business or public administration. A solid understanding of the principles, practices and techniques of data collection, analysis and change implementation is desired, as is the techniques and methods of administrative analysis including fundamentals of operations research. Strong organizational skills are desired, as well as strong written and oral communication skills.
