Salary:

Appraiser I – $20.90 – $26.02/Hourly
Appraiser II – $23.34 – $28.90/Hourly
Appraiser III – $26.02 – $32.17/Hourly

Description:

There are currently two vacant positions. One of the vacant position will be filled at either the Appraiser I, II or III level depending upon qualifications. Please note: Applicants must apply for each level they are interested in and feel they are qualified for.

Appraiser I – Under general supervision, learns the methods and procedures for securing and analyzing data needed to appraise real property for ad valorem tax purposes; conducts standard field investigations, studies and appraisals of residential, commercial, agricultural, industrial and special use properties; and perform related work as necessary.

Appraiser II – Under general direction, secures and analyzes data for the appraisal of real property for ad valorem tax purposes; makes field investigations, studies and appraisals of residential, commercial, agricultural, industrial and special use properties; explains appraisal methods, laws and procedures to the general public; defends challenged appraisals before the Board of Equalization when necessary; and perform related work as required.

Appraiser III – performs the most difficult and responsible technical appraisals for tax assessment purposes; provides limited supervision and training to other appraisers; and performs related work as required.
