$8,532.16 – $10,416.01 Per Month

Description:

Under administrative direction of the Community Resources Agency Director, assists in planning, organizing, managing and providing administrative direction and oversight for all activities and functions for the Building, Environmental Health, Planning, Housing, and GIS divisions within the Community Resources Agency; fosters cooperative working relationships among County departments and with intergovernmental and regulatory agencies and various public and private groups; provides highly responsible and complex professional assistance to the Community Resources Agency Director in areas of expertise; and performs related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Any combination of training and experience that would provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the required qualifications would be:

Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in planning, environmental studies, natural resource management, watershed management, forestry, environmental health, building and construction, or a closely related field; and five (5) years of increasingly responsible experience as a professional planner or professional in a closely related field, including at least two (2) years in a management capacity.

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:

Possession of a valid California Driver’s License and a satisfactory driving record.

Certification as a professional planner from the American Institute of Certified Planners is desirable.
