Description:

Napa County District Attorney’s Office is seeking applicants for Attorney III with Criminal or Consumer/Environmental law backgrounds.  This selection process will establish an eligibility list that will fill future vacancies for up to one year. 

An Attorney III is the advanced journey level classification in this job series, will be assigned the more difficult and complex cases. As experience, knowledge, skills and abilities are acquired and utilized, and based on the cases assigned to the District Attorney’s Office, the degree and complexity of assignments an incumbent may be assigned may change both in the number and complexity of assigned cases.

Based on these factors, and the needs of the Department, an Attorney may promote to the next higher level Attorney class in this job series.

Qualifications:

Experience:

Three years of criminal prosecution experience or one year Attorney II experience in a District Attorney’s Office equivalent to that in Napa County.

Education:

Graduation from an accredited law school.

License or Certificate:

Active membership in the California State Bar Association is required prior to time of hire; and possession of a valid California Driver’s License.
