Description:

The Contra Costa County Assessor’s Office has requested that an employment list be established for Auditor- Appraiser II. Auditor- Appraiser II is the journey-level class in the Auditor- Appraiser series. Individuals in this position are involved in appraising commercial and industrial property for tax assessment purposes, which includes analyzing and auditing financial and other records of commercial and industrial firms for tax assessment purposes. Incumbents may also be responsible for marine and aircraft valuations and the appraisal of real property for assessment purposes.

Qualifications:

License Required: Possession of a valid California Motor Vehicle Operator’s License. Out of state valid motor vehicle operator’s license will be accepted during the application process.
Certificate Required: Possession of a valid appraiser’s certificate and a State Board of Equalization authorization to perform the duties of an Auditor-Appraiser.
Experience: Two (2) years of full time or its equivalent experience as an auditor-appraiser in a California county assessor’s office or at the California State Board of Equalization.
