Salary:

Level II: $3807 – $4627/monthly, and Level III: $4206 - $5113/monthly, plus an excellent benefits package, including a CalPERS (2.7% at 55) retirement formula.  *This position may be subject to a Furlough Program which will result in a reduction of the advertised salary.

Qualifications:

Level II:  One year of experience in performing property appraisal and value determinations comparable to that of an Auditor-Appraiser I with the Madera County Assessor’s Office; and possession of, and ability to maintain, a valid certificate as an Appraiser, issued by the State Board of Equalization.

Level III:  Two years of experience in performing business and personal property appraisals and value determinations comparable to those of an Auditor-Appraiser I/II with the Madera County Assessor’s Office; and completion of the core courses for the Advanced Level certificate as an Appraiser issued by the State Board of Equalization. 

Both Levels: Equivalent to a BA/BS degree in Accounting, Appraising, Engineering, Business Administration, Real Estate, or a related field; and a valid CDL.
