$122,070 – $155,766/yearly

Description:

This position is for the Human Services Agency (HSA) of the City and County of San Francisco. The incumbent in this position directs the budget development and budget management processes for the entire agency. They serve as a member of the agency executive team and the administration executive team, and works closely with department, division and program directors throughout the agency.

Essential Duties
• Leads the development and management of HSA’s complex expenditure and revenue budgets.
• Hires, trains, develops and oversees the work of HSA’s professional budget staff.
• Resolves complex, and often sensitive financial issues and problems.
• Provides strategic and tactical financial advice to agency executives.
• Performs other related duties as required.

Qualifications:

1. Possession of a Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration, Public Administration, Finance or a closely related field; AND
2. Five (5) years of verifiable budget management experience in a large human services, health services, or social services agency which must include at least three (3) years of experience supervising, coordinating and/or leading budget, finance, or accounting professionals.
OR
2. Six (6) years of verifiable budget management experience in a large public or non-profit agency which must include at least three (3) years of experience supervising, coordinating and/or leading budget, finance, or accounting professionals.
