$63,876.80 – $92,476.80 Annually

Description:

An incumbent assigned to this class performs the full range of duties involved in conducting inspections in all phases of building construction. The work to be performed requires the exercise of independent judgment to assure compliance with construction codes, local ordinances and laws.

Qualifications:

Four years of paid experience in one of the building trades or in performance of a wide variety of building trades work. Building trades experience shall only include carpentry, electrical, plumbing, or heating and air conditioning work; or four years of experience reviewing, interpreting, and advising the public in regards to building codes and other applicable laws and ordinances.

License or Certificate:
Residential Building Inspector Certification from International Code Council (ICC).

Possession of a valid California Driver’s License.
