Description:

The County of Yolo is currently recruiting for the Chief Financial Officer position. The Chief Financial Officer is appointed by and serves at the pleasure of the Board of Supervisor. The primary responsibility of this position is to serve as chief executive for the Department of Financial Services, direct the complex financial and fiscal activities of the County, and perform comprehensive management responsibilities to carry out Board of Supervisors policies and procedures for County financial operations.

Qualifications:

Education: A Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited college or university in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a closely related field.
AND 
Experience: Eight (8) years of professional level accounting and/or financial management experience, with a minimum of five (5) years of responsible management experience in local governmental finance and accounting. Experience must include responsibility for managing a large staff, typically through subordinate managers, and a variety of professional accounting, auditing, investment, management information systems, or related financial functions. 

Certification: Possession of an active license as a Certified Public Accountant issued by the State of California, Board of Accountancy.
